Gifford has supported numerous organizations helping children such as Childhelp as well as The Association to Benefit Children and Cassidy's Place. Two houses she named in honor of her two children were Cassidy's Place & Cody House. She is a humanitarian and received an honorary degree at Marymount University in recognition of her labor relations work.
